Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much are lessons?

A: 30 minute lessons are $55 each, 45 minute lessons are $75 each, and 60 minute lessons are $95 each. For more information see tuition chart here.

Q: How does tuition work?

A: Subscription tuition is variable. Total tuition amount depends on how many lessons are available each month. On a typical month there will be four lessons available. Some months will have five lessons available which will cause the tuition to be adjusted accordingly. Tuition is due the 1st of the month. See tuition chart here.

Q: Can I purchase single visit lessons?

A: Yes, although we cannot confirm the desired day and time will be available each week unless you enroll for a subscription.

Q: What is the difference between signing up for a subscription and just purchasing single visits?

A: A student who enrolls in a subscription will pay a yearly enrollment fee of $50 and is eligible to participate in workshops and ensembles at no additional cost. Subscribers’s lesson times will be reserved each week on the same day and time.

Q: Do I need to bring my own instrument?

A: We have pianos, drum sets, guitars and bass guitars. Any other instrument will need to be brought during lessons.

Q: Is there a make-up policy?

A: Yes. If 24-hour notice is given before the time of the lesson, it will qualify for a make-up lesson. Three make-up lessons are allowed per quarter. If a lesson is cancelled due to teacher absences or school closures, this is not counted. If a student is absent for a month of lessons and would like to reserve their lesson time when they return, it is required that tuition is paid in advance for the month they return. If the student is absent more than a month, the student would need to cancel the subscription and re-enroll when they return.

Q: What happens if the student is late to a lesson?

A: If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson will be cancelled and forfeited. If the student is less than 15 minutes late, the remaining scheduled lesson time will be given.

Q: Are group lessons available?

A: Group lessons are available for friends or family members playing the same instrument at a similar skill level. Each student must be approved by the instructor after an assessment before joining the group lessons.
